This lovely, sunny, completely remodeled and professionally decorated (in a mountain theme), corner, ground-level getaway is located in the fabulous ski resort town of Big Sky, just outside Yellowstone National Park. The property is nestled in the heart of a quiet and serene golf course community within the upscale, residential neighborhood known as Meadow Village. Many of the locals' favorite hot-spots at the Big Sky Town Center ~ cafes, restaurants (LotusPadBigSky.com), shopping, groceries (HungryMoose.com), etc. ~ are an easy stroll away. The Meadow Village, at the base of Lone Peak Mountain, is commonly regarded as being considerably more desirable than the remote, expensive, crowded, and noisy Mountain Village at Big Sky Resort where conventions are regularly held at one of its large hotels during the winter. And during the summer, the Mountain Village is practically a "ghost town" since it has very little to offer then. Also, since the lower elevation of the Meadow Village has about 60% less snowpack than the Mountain Village, it offers a milder climate with earlier springs, later falls, and a longer summer season, resulting in more year-round recreational opportunities!!
Cozy and charming, this property sports a vaulted and beamed ceiling, fully-equipped kitchen (including dishwasher, disposal, microwave, blender, mixer, pancake griddle, coffee maker, coffee grinder, Brita pitcher water filtration system, dishes, utensils, cooking spices, etc.), stone fireplace (with COMPLIMENTARY firewood), and redwood deck with furniture, outdoor fireplace, and two locked storage sheds for skis and other gear. Both the master bedroom and loft have a queen-size bed, and the chalet-style living room has a comfortable, queen-size sleeper sofa. There is also a brand-new, deluxe "Pack 'n Play" full-size bassinet/playard/changing station (Graco "Kira" model) available for baby. All three main rooms have SATELLITE television (cable TV constantly goes out in this area and for extended periods of time!) Every window has at least one shade so that each room has complete privacy. Abundant linens and towels are provided. This property also offers a pretty, lush, green yard that is dotted with fragrant pine trees, only steps away from the indoor swim center (large/heated pool, hot tub, sauna, locker rooms with additional bathrooms), heated laundry room, 18-hole Arnold Palmer designed championship golf course, and parking area. A swimming pool is a must in the summer (especially for the kids) and a hot tub is a must in the winter (great for apres ski.) No other property within the complex is situated closer to the swim center and laundry room!
This winter playground opens Thanksgiving weekend and stays open through April 24th. Big Sky's award-winning ski school will get beginners on the slopes (6 miles/less than 10 minutes away) quickly. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced skiers will all enjoy incredible skiing on majestic Lone Mountain. It boasts 3,812 acres of lift-accessed ski-able terrain with over 150 named ski runs covering 85 miles, and an awesome 4,350 foot vertical drop (nation's second largest.) Neighboring Moonlight Basin, on the north face of Lone Mountain, is the first new destination ski resort to open in more than twenty years! It features Montana's only high-speed, six passenger chair lift and serves a growing trail network of 76 runs on 1,900 acres of terrain. Both ski resorts are the best-kept secret of the Rockies since they have perfect powder and virtually no lift lines!! Big Sky and Moonlight now offer the Lone Peak Pass, allowing visitors to ski freely between the two resorts (with 5,512 acres of in-bounds ski-able terrain) for the "Biggest Skiing in America".
*Press Release . . . Big Sky is #1 Favorite Resort in North America
BIG SKY, Montana — Big Sky is celebrating this week after being presented with an outstanding mark of distinction. Users of the Web site OnTheSnow.com voted Big Sky as North America's Favorite Resort in the Overall category of their Visitors Choice Awards. OnTheSnow.com is the Internet snow reporting Web site for the Mountain News Corporation. Mountain News has been doing radio snow reports for over 40 years; they are the #1 Web site for snow reporting on the information superhighway. On the Web site, skiers and snowboarders can write reviews of resorts that they have visited and are also asked to rank them in five categories: Most Family-friendly, Best Nightlife, Best Downhill Terrain, Best Terrain Park and, the most sought-after, Overall Favorite. Big Sky won the highest accolade of Overall favorite, whilst also receiving many mentions on the Web site for other categories.
The Resort also persistently ranks as the #1 favorite resort in Montana. OnTheSnow.com attracts 1.2 million unique visitors each month during the winter, so an award such as this truly is a prestigious honor. It shows that a large number of people across the country, and indeed the world, genuinely feel that Big Sky Resort offers the best there is out there in terms of an overall top-notch ski vacation. Reviews on the Web site consistently repeat phrases such as, ‘lift lines are non-existent' and, ‘great snow and terrain', highlighting that what Big Sky has to offer really is what people are looking for. Comments of ‘Big Sky is great' or, ‘best snow and terrain in North America' are not uncommon.
This exposure will be great for the future of both the Resort and the general community, as not only does it indicate that people will keep returning to Big Sky year after year, but it will also highlight to prospective guests that they can count on a great vacation if they decide to visit here. We are all very excited that so many of our guests love Big Sky and are willing to tell the world about it", says Lyndsey Kiland, a member of the Resort's marketing team who collected the award. “It's a great tribute to all the hard work everyone has put in this winter and really shows what we can achieve when we strive to be the best."
Top Ten Ski Resorts to Down a Local Beer
Après addicts unite! Check out our picks for the resorts that really put the "ski" into brewski.

From Away.com

For a certain breed of pub-loving traveler, the perfect après-ski quaff is neither Jagermeister, nor a hot toddy, nor Red Bull and vodka. For these winter athletes—snowboarders and skiers alike—insistent that life is too short to pass up a powder day, a resort without a craft brewery is no resort at all. Fortunately, thanks to growing demand, such breweries have proliferated like snow bunnies, enabling the zymurgically-minded to add one more criteria to their vacation matrix. Hence, we have rounded up an array of first-rate North American ski resorts, but only those where a quality brewery can be found nearby. With this guide, you'll find top picks for both where to find fresh powder, as well as where to restore your mind and muscles with some of our favorite pints of Vitamin B. Prost!
6. Lone Peak Brewery
Big Sky, Montana
The Hill: Some 40 miles from the college town of Bozeman, Big Sky's bibs are blanketed with champagne-light powder and hardly another skier in sight. Thanks to the topography of Lone Peak (rising to 11,166 feet, it's one of the highest ski-able mountains in the country) hardly a snow storm hits Montana that doesn't reach Big Sky. With 150 named runs, there's plenty of real estate to explore in the unlikely event that you do feel crowded.
The Beer: Come for the snow, but stay for the cerveza. The namesake Lone Peak Brewery's tasting room serves suds that owe a lot to the mountain: Steep 'N Deep Winter Ale, Hellroaring ESB, and the signature Lone Peak IPA.
In the Know: Montana liquor laws limit the amount of beer that may be consumed on premise to 48 ounces.
On the Go: Double your fun. Buy a combined ticket that includes neighbor Moonlight Basin.
